Dr.K.Shivaram Selvakkumar

Dr.K.Shivaram Selvakkumar wears these hats, and a few more, with absolute ease.

Son of late Mr.R.Kaliappan I.P.S, Dr.K.Shivaram Selvakkumar is the Former Chairman of Kalsar College of Engineering and presently the Managing Trustee of Kalsar Educational Charitable Trust.

He is an Independent Director of S.V. Global Mill Limited and S.V. Global Finance Private Limited.

A go-getter, and an achiever, he has won numerous accolades at the National and International levels.He was All-India Best NCC Air wing cadet. He holds a Pilot’s License.

A disciplinarian and a hard working individual, he won the International Rifle Shooting Championship at Singapore in 1981. An avid sportsman and tennis player, Dr.K.Shivaram Selvakkumar won the All India Tennis championship in 1977. He was the boxing champion in the welterweight category at Yercaud in 1977. He is a competitive swimmer, winning medals at Water Polo and other aquatic sports events. Dr.K.Shivaram Selvakkumar is also a golfer and a member of Tamilnadu Golf Federation.

He is a council member of the Tamilnadu Tennis Association.

He was awarded the OUTSTANDING NATIONAL CITIZEN AWARD by the National Citizens guild - New Delhi, and the GEM. OF INDIA AWARD - by the ALL INDIA ACHIEVERS CONFERENCE at New Delhi. He received his PhD in Education from U.S.A., and an International MBA in Leadership & Entrepreneurship from Belgium.

Dr.K.Shivaram Selvakkumar is presently the Secretary of the Montfort School Yercaud Alumni, Chennai Chapter. He served three terms as Managing Committee member of The Presidency Club, one of the most prestigious clubs in India. A current, active member of The Freemasons, and past Deputy Regional Grand Master. He is also a member of Andhra Social and Cultural Association, and a Committee Member in World Economic Tamil Conference.

Constantly involved in various social welfare activities, Dr.K.Shivaram Selvakkumar’s vision is to nurture and enable the student community to be responsible citizens with a zeal for life and its challenges. At work, he insists on excellence and perfection, from himself, and those around him.
